Rose Stoffers Zank, aged 91, entered into eternal rest on July 17, 2021 in Evans, GA. Born and raised in Wyoming, Michigan, she was the 8th child of ten born to William and Regina Bouwhuis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis J. Stoffers.
She was happiest when she was surrounded by family and friends. She loved sending birthday and holiday cards to those she loved. The cards usually had $1.00 bill enclosed. She had a wonderful memory for names. Once she met you, she always remembered your name. She was a very kind and compassionate lady. She was always ready to go to bingo with her sister, Regina.
She loved to travel. Her very first plane ride took her to Germany to meet her first grandchild. She was adventurous and drove herself from Michigan to Ft. Campbell, Kentucky to spend time with her grandchildren. In 2001, she moved to Georgia so she could be closer to her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Mary Lou (Walter) Bonczkowski, her three grandchildren Andy (Karen) Bonczkowski, Josh (Karla) Bonczkowski, and Tiffany Nolla; her five great-grandchildren Drew, Kenley, Joey, Scarlett, and Piper; her sister Regina Totaritis; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life mass will be celebrated on August 23, 2021 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 4921 Columbia Road, Grovetown, Georgia 30813. Internment will immediately follow the service in the Columbarium at St. Teresa’s Church. A light luncheon will be served for family and friends.Print Obituary & Condolences
