George Eddie Collier entered into the Lord’s presence hearing “Well done My good and faithful servant”,
Tuesday, June 15, 2021. A celebration of life service for Eddie, age 80, will be held at 5:00 pm on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at New Hope Worship Center, 715 S. Old Belair Rd., Grovetown, GA. Rev. Reagan Sommers and Dr. Jerry Lambert will be officiating as well as family tributes from his grandchildren. Eddie was born in Itawamba County, Mississippi and has lived in Graniteville, SC for many years.
He was the beloved husband of Carolyn Barker Collier, aka “Spice”, Graniteville, SC and the son of the late Thomas and Eula Mae Collier of Golden, Mississippi.
Eddie retired from BellSouth after 38 years as a cable repair technician. He was a devoted member of New Hope Worship Center for many years as a Sunday School teacher of teens and young married couples, youth worker, food pantry volunteer, and greeter.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Michele (Rob) Collier Lowe, Caroline and Cooper (grandchildren), Lake Jackson, TX, and Deana (Joe) Evon Burch, Megan, Eddie, Tommy, Ben, and Abby (grandchildren), North Augusta, SC. Two sisters, Peggy Antwine and Mary Jo McCarty, and one brother, Tommy Collier.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations to be made to New How Worship Center Youth or the Bridge Ministry of the CSRA, as Eddie was very involved with both ministries.
