Barclay Hubbs Pittman, age 52 of Grovetown, GA went to be with her Lord July 25, 2019. A memorial service will be held August 11, 2019, 2:00 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 3131 Walton Way, Augusta, GA. The family will accept friends after the service in the Church Fellowship Hall.
Barclay loved her Lord and demonstrated His love for all through her unconditional love of others. She served her Lord in the Church as a deacon, youth leader and Wednesday Night Fellowship host. She opened her heart and home to many, expecting nothing in return. Like Jesus, she wanted to care for those in need, down on their luck or lost souls looking for guidance.
Barclay loved life and she lived it to the fullest. She was a loving “Mommy” to two beautiful boys, an amazing “Grammy” to four babies and a true friend to many. She enjoyed camping with her family, fishing by the pond, exploring new things, and spending time with friends. She had a giving heart and volunteered her time to several organizations. She will be missed beyond words.
Barclay is survived by her loving wife of seventeen years, Wanda Marie Pittman; two sons, John Warren Pittman and Bentley Rooks Pittman; her father, John Charles Hubbs; one sister, Marie Elizabeth Teal; one brother, Georgia Fredrick “Bo” Hubbs (Tami); father-in-law, Robert Warren Pittman, Sr.; sister-in-law, Shelli P. Kitchens; brother-in-law Robert Warren Pittman, Jr. (Heather); nieces: Vanessa Moore Hubbs (Kendrick), Kristian Kitchens, Destiny Kitchens, Emma Pittman; nephews: Taylor Teal (Kristina), Cole Pittman (Jessie); aunt and godmother Maggy Harms, Aunt Beth Pitts; one great niece Kinsley Teal, three great nephews: Jaxon Teal, Raylan Teal, and James Wilson; very special friends Dana Calloway, Beth Brown, David Wood, Cory Muller, and Beth Wiseman.
Barclay is preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Ann Harms Hubbs and mother-in-law, Mary Estell Logue Pittman.
